மேற்கு வங்காளம் மாநில முதல்-மந்திரி மம்தா பானர்ஜி, 3 நாள் பயணமாக வங்காளதேசம் சென்றார். வங்காளதேச பிரதமர் ஷேக் ஹசினாவை சந்தித்து பேசினார். மேற்கு வங்காளம் வருமாறு அவருக்கு அழைப்பு விடுத்தார். பயணத்தை முடித்துவிட்டு மம்தா பானர்ஜி நாடு திரும்பிய போது அவருடைய உதவியாளர் ஷிபாஜி பாஞ்சாவை விமான நிலையத்தில் வைத்து குடியேற்றத்துறை (இமிக்ரேஷன்) அதிகாரிகள் கைது செய்தனர். டெல்லி போலீசார் அவரை தேடுவதாக கிடைத்த அறிவிப்பை அடுத்து மோசடி வழக்கில் அவர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டார் என்று போலீஸ் தரப்பில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
