காஷ்மீர் மாநிலத்தில் எதிர்பார்த்தபடியே தொங்கு சட்டசபை அமையும் சூழ்நிலை உருவாகியுள்ளது. காஷ்மீர் சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தல் முடிவில் எந்தவொரு கட்சிக்கும் தனிப்பெரும்பான்மை கிடைக்கவில்லை. ஜார்கண்டில் ஆட்சியைப் பிடித்த பாரதீய ஜனதா கட்சி, இங்கு 25 தொகுதிகளில் வெற்றி பெற்று, 2–வது பெரிய கட்சியாக வந்துள்ளது. இங்கு முப்தி முகமது சயீத்தின் மக்கள் ஜனநாயக கட்சி 28 இடங்களில் வெற்றி பெற்று தனிப்பெரும் கட்சியாக விளங்குகிறது. தேசிய மாநாட்டு கட்சிக்கு 15 இடங்கள் கிடைத்தன. காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி 12 இடங்களுடன் 4–வது இடத்தில் உள்ளது.

மாதத்திற்கு 5 முறைகளுக்கு மேல் ஏ.டி.எம். பயன்படுத்தினால் 20 ரூபாய் கட்டணம் வசூலிக்கப்படும் என்ற ரிசர்வ் வங்கியின் விதிமுறைகள் கடந்த நவம்பர் ஒன்றாம் தேதி அமலுக்கு வந்தது. ரிசர்வ் வங்கி விதிமுறையின்படி டெல்லி, மும்பை, கொல்கத்தா, சென்னை, பெங்களூரு, ஐதராபாத் ஆகிய 6 மெட்ரோ நகரங்களுக்கு இந்த விதி பொருந்தும். ஏ.டி.எம்-மை பயன்படுத்தி பணம் எடுப்பது மட்டுமல்லாமல், மினி ஸ்டேட்மென்ட் உள்ளிட்ட எந்த நோக்கத்துக்கும் 5 முறைக்கு மேல் பயன்படுத்தும்போது கட்டணம் வசூலிக்கப்படும். இதேபோல் மற்ற வங்கியின் ஏ.டி.எம்.களை மாதத்துக்கு ஐந்து முறை பயன்படுத்தலாம் என்ற நிலை மூன்றாக குறைக்கப்பட்டது.
