After a long lull in the monsoon activity in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the retreating monsoon - North-east Monsoon clubbed with impact of Very Severe Cyclonic Storm Nilofar in Arabian Sea brought rains to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Several crops are inundated in both states. Vehicular communication on several roads in Guntur, Prakasam, and Krishna District is cut off as flood water is overflowing at the causeways and low-level road points. The Hindu photographers T. Vijaya Kumar, Kommuri Srinivas and Ch. Vijaya Bhaskar capture a few of these flash points.
